Island Spice Truck, a Caribbean food truck, aims to introduce authentic island flavors to metropolitan areas. The challenge is to establish a strong presence, offer unique Caribbean cuisine, and create engaging experiences that resonate with customers.
Research/Key Insights:
- Market Surveys: Conducted surveys among diverse city dwellers, revealing a strong interest in exploring international cuisines, particularly Caribbean flavors.

Positioning Heineken as a brand that offers fresh experiences, fosters connections, and accompanies consumers during pivotal life transitions, emphasizing freshness, social bonding, and relaxation.

Logo
I wanted the logo to work as the food truck mascot. That way you could branch out and make merchandise and videos around the mascot. I also picked a pepper mascot because when you think of Caribbean food you think of spices and it being spicy. I wanted to keep the theme beachy, so I kept beachy colors throughout.

Creative Solutions
- Community Pop-Up Events: Hosting pop-up events in partnership with local communities, cultural festivals, and markets to introduce and promote Caribbean dishes.
- Collaborative Dining Experiences: Partnering with other food trucks or local eateries for fusion events, showcasing the diversity of Caribbean flavors alongside other cuisines.
- Mobile Cooking Classes: Offering interactive cooking classes onboard the food truck, educating customers about Caribbean cooking techniques and ingredients.
- City-wide Caribbean Nights: Organizing themed events at select locations in the city, transforming spaces into Caribbean havens with live music, traditional dance performances, and of course, Island Spice Truck’s delicacies.
- Corporate Catering and Office Lunch Deliveries: Establishing a presence in the corporate world by offering catering services and lunch deliveries to offices, introducing Caribbean cuisine to a new audience.
My Role
As the creator:
- I conceptualized the food truck business, from menu development to branding and marketing strategies.
- I designed social media ad campaigns and crafted promotional materials.
Through these initiatives, Island Spice Truck aims to carve a niche in the food truck industry, providing an authentic taste of the Caribbean while creating memorable experiences that resonate with diverse urban customers.
